More About Kayla Marte

As an integrative therapist,  I would like to work collaboratively with you using the most appropriate methods and practices that best support you and your needs. My approach supports people who deal with a wide range of emotional concerns and may struggle with the changes that come with adjusting through different stages of life. My primary experience specializes in supporting individuals in developing coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, stress and focuses on exploring a client’s core belief system. Additionally, I am dedicated to enhancing self-esteem and improving interpersonal relationships.

Being an Afro-Latina born and reared in New York City, my passion is to support people of color. I have received two masters from Hunter College - a Masters of Literacy and a Masters of Mental Health Counseling. After teaching for 10 years, I decided to shift careers and focus on mental health but still hope to support and validate the experiences of educators. Together, my hope is that we can discover the best coping strategies for you to cultivate and live a fruitful life.
