More About Denise Vite

I am Bicultural and Bilingual in English and Spanish. I offer culturally sensitive therapeutic care in my practice.

I believe that we all have a deep longing to feel heard and understood. I have 13 years of experience working as a mental health therapist in various settings such as non-profit organizations offering counseling in schools, juvenile detention centers, as well as with a health care organization.

My career began as a child and adolescent therapist and has progressed onto work with adults. I specialize in working with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, parenting support, maternal mental health, grief and relationships issues.

After the birth of my two daughters, I was inspired to open my practice and specialize in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. While my babies brought me joy, the postpartum period also awakened me to the challenges, unmet expectations and untold realities that this adjustment can bring to your life. As a result, I feel very passionate about guiding and supporting mamas and couples through the emotional changes that this time can create.

I am trained in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders by Postpartum Support International -  a nationally recognized organization that works to increase education and awareness around the emotional changes that occur in women during pregnancy and postpartum.

I am a certified Bringing Baby Home educator by The Gottman Institute

Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences since 2011
